Enough Talk, More Music!!!
Wuu. Pretty wild weekend. Full of highs and lows. Writes and wrongs. Come to think of it, the nadir and zenith of my weekend just occurred. Broke another toothbrush. Snapped. In my mouth. Again. Good way to get a momentary feeling of being a chump. Thankfully, a new toothbrush was on hand. Really can’t beat that new brush feeling on your teeth. Just great. Great weekend… enough talk, more music!!!
Song 1: Dressed To Digress – Boy Crisis
Random lyrics mixed with electro funk. Happy days.
Random Useless Fact: Boy Crisis is the term used to describe the falling standards among young men. Ha, brutally useless!
Song 2: Gold In The Fire – Monarchy
Only just heard this song today. Repeated already a few times. Good sign.
RUF: Duo from London. Only two things I could find out.
Song 3: Generator Second Floor – Freelance Whales
The usual mix of harmonium, banjo, glockenspiel, synthesizers, guitars, bass, drums and waterphone, with vocals sounding like Surfjan Stevens.
R.U.F: Can be found performing on New York street corners and in the underground.
Song 4: A White Demon Love Song – The Killers
New song from The Killers off the new Twilight movie soundtrack. How did they get so many good bands/artists on that soundtrack?! Well, how much did they have to fork out for all of them.
R.U.F: Bon Iver, Lykke Li and Thom Yorke are three more who supplied songs for the soundtrack. I know. For a Twilight movie.
Song 5: Cell Mates – Mariachi El Bronx
Who doesn’t like a bit of Mexican style trumpet?! Mariachi on!
R.U.F: This band used to be a hardcore punk band called The Bronx!
